Originally from the Hawkes Bay, where my parents were sheep and beef farmers. Moved to the Waikato to a Lands and Survey sheep and beef ballot farm in Putaruru in 1975. Started working in Stock and Station industry 2 years after leaving school, and have stayed serving farmers the majority of my working life. Have been with Bay vets 20 odd years now and am a proud Manawahe resident these days. I enjoy farming 20 some thing beef cattle. It’s the old life style story, might as well farm 200 hectares, same amount of work as a life style block
